ABOUT US
An independent Marseillaise watchmaking house, true to its heritage
Jacques Bianchi Marseille was born from a simple conviction: that a distinctive watch design—rich in history and built for function—could be revived without compromise, in full respect of both its roots and its era.

our story
The adventure began in 2021, imagined by three voices and driven by two passionate watch enthusiasts with complementary backgrounds.
Together, they share a simple belief: watchmaking is more than a product. It is a way of inhabiting time, of remembering, of giving meaning to what we wear.
At the heart of the project lies a little-known dive watch, originally created in the 1980s for professional military divers. With its utilitarian profile, robust character and mission-oriented aesthetic, it remained in the shadows—until a fresh perspective brought it back to life. Not by copying it, but by reinterpreting it.

Jacques Bianchi Marseille was born from that desire. To give new breath to a tool watch, remaining true to its origin while fully rooted in the present. To reissue without imitating, to modernise without erasing.
Over time, a small, dedicated team came together around the project. Watchmakers, technicians, time artisans who share the same pursuit of precision and the same love of well-made things. Each watch is assembled in our Marseille workshop—with care, with intention, and without anything automatic.
From day one, the goal was clear: to bring back to light emblematic tool watches through a respectful, modern approach that could speak to today's watch lovers.
LOCAL PRODUCTION, COMMITTED TEAM
Jacques Bianchi Marseille is based in the heart of the city, a short walk from the Old Port. This is where all our watches are assembled by a growing team of skilled watchmakers.
This local anchoring allows us to control each step of the process, ensure high finishing standards, and cultivate a workshop spirit that is human, responsive, and rooted in the real.
Direct relationships with our customers are part of our daily rhythm, as is the attention paid to every piece that leaves our benches.

Limited editions to preserve meaning and uniqueness
Most of our models are produced in limited, individually numbered series. This ensures a production scale that respects the pace and standards of our atelier, while giving each watch its own singularity and identity.
This approach allows us to offer chromatic, technical or aesthetic variations that are always intentional and coherent with the JB200 story and the expectations of our community. Each launch is designed as a one-off moment.
JB200 MAXI DIAL
The only exception: the JB200 Maxi Dial, our permanent model. Functional, legible, timeless. It stands as the most distilled expression of our dive watch vision.

ONE WATCH, ONE STORY, ONE COMMITMENT
At Jacques Bianchi Marseille, we believe in the power of well-crafted objects, in the rightness of proportions, in the evocative nature of dials that speak beyond the hour. Our watches are made to last, to live, to accompany.
They are made for those who see watchmaking as a way of life, a quiet but sincere language.

PARTNER OF THE MUSÉE SUBAQUATIQUE DE MARSEILLE SINCE 2021
Since 2021, Jacques Bianchi Marseille has been an active supporter of the Musée Subaquatique de Marseille, France's first underwater art museum, located just off the Catalans beach.
Our commitment includes sponsoring multiple introductory diving sessions, designed to raise awareness about marine ecosystem preservation and to make diving accessible to as many people as possible.

In 2024, we also supported the creation and immersion of the sculpture Octo-Cérébrum, designed by artist Floriane Lisowski. This hybrid artwork—part octopus, part brain—raises awareness about the intelligence and fragility of this iconic Mediterranean species. Made from low-carbon concrete, it also serves as an artificial reef, fostering marine biodiversity.
We continue to collaborate closely with the museum, united by a shared ambition to bring together art, exploration, and environmental awareness.
TRIBUTE TO THE MARSEILLE MARÉGRAPHE SINCE 2024
In 2024, Jacques Bianchi Marseille paid tribute to the historic Marégraphe of Marseille, a scientific monument that has measured sea level since 1883.
To mark the occasion, we launched the JB200 Marégraphe, a limited-edition timepiece developed in partnership with the French National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (IGN).

As part of the project, we made a significant financial contribution to the Association des Amis du Marégraphe, which works to preserve this emblematic site.
This initiative reflects our commitment to Marseille’s scientific and maritime heritage, and to the preservation of its quiet but essential legacy.
SUPPORTING CLÉMENT SECCHI, OLYMPIC MEDALLIST
Since his early days in competition, we have proudly supported Clément Secchi, a Marseille-born swimmer trained at the Cercle des Nageurs. We believed in his potential to embody the values of discipline, effort and perseverance.
Clément brought those values to life at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he won a bronze medal as part of the French 4x100m medley relay team.
More than material support, our collaboration celebrates a human and sporting journey—in line with our locally rooted brand and its belief in progress, dedication and meaningful trajectories.
